The lens is also great for macro-style close-up photography, offering a maximum magnification of 1:2.8 and a minimum focusing distance of just 12.1cm.

To keep the lens light, SIGMA used high-quality materials. The body is made from Thermally Stable Composite (TSC), which is robust and has thermal conductivity similar to aluminum. This ensures stable performance in varying temperatures. The use of metal in some internal parts makes the lens more rigid while maintaining a slim profile, ensuring durability under heavy use.
